Membership
Jesus Christ invited people to be his friends and join his mission. Whether you have little or no experience in the Christian faith, or are well traveled on your journey, it is in this spirit that you are invited to consider membership at Marble Collegiate Church, one of America's most historic and dynamic spiritual communities.
  
Three Easy Steps
  1. Speak to a membership person -- someone wearing a red carnation.
    Following Sunday worship, Membership people can be found at the front of the Sanctuary by the baptismal font. Or, you may call the Membership Office at the church, (212) 686-2770.
     
  2. Attend a series of three orientation and welcoming sessions.
    These sessions are held immediately following the 11:15am worship service on Sundays prior to New Member Sunday and last approximately two hours. They provide the opportunity for you to learn about Marble Church -- the people, programs and outreach -- and to meet the ministers, church staff and other new members. A buffet lunch is provided ($8).
     
  3. Be present on New Member Sunday when you will be welcomed into membership.
    New Members are received three times a year during the 11:15am worship service, generally on the last Sunday of October, February and May. Baptism is administered, for those requesting it, during the 10:00am Prayer Circle in the Poling Chapel.
  
What is Expected of You
  • That your heart and mind are open to the leadership of Jesus Christ.
  • That you are open to the light, wisdom, and inspiration of the Bible.
  • That you will support Marble Collegiate Church with your prayers, your presence, your gifts and your offerings.
