Witnessing for Peace
By webmaster @ 9:34 AM :: 1464 Views :: 1 Comments

This week my blog is simply to let you know of a wonderful thing that’s going on in the body of Christ and refer you to another blog.

Last week, a delegation of six clergy, scholars and/or church leaders went to visit Israel and Palestine with an organization called Witness for Peace.

They are going there to be witnesses for peace in that fractured Holy place as they follow in the geographical footsteps of Jesus the Christ. When they return, they will be charged to witness to others about their experience.

The brain and soul power of these ministers is phenomenonally anointed. (I admit my bias, as all are my Union Theological Seminary classmates).

They are:

  • Rev. Kanyere Eaton
  • Rev. Dr. Leslie Callahan (both of whom have spoken to the Marble Women’s Ministry)
  • Rev. Linda Tarry Chard (a former member of Marble Church)
  • Dr. Adam Clark (Professor of Theology at Xavier University in Cinncinati)
  • Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnock (Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Atlanta)
  • Rev. Anthony Lee (Pastor of Community of Hope AME in Washington, DC).

Pray with me that this journey will allow God to use them more fully to be “seeds of peace” in Israel and Palestine and here in the United States. Also, pray with me for their protection.

Join me in following their experience (with great pix) on Rev. Lee’s blog. He is writing to his DC congregation, but he won’t mind if Marble joins them as we all seek to be Godly peace makers!

I will pray for the safty of your friends in the holy land as Christians and our Muslim borthers don't always see eye to eye on issues. On the other hand what a great trip, I woudl love to be re baptized in the river jordan and walk in the foot steps of Jesus.
