The 92nd Psalm catches some of my feelings this morning. "It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to thy name, O Most High; to declare thy steadfast love in the morning and thy faithfulness by night. How great are thy works, O Lord."
Thank God for the miracle of healing. Last Saturday evening, our 10 year old grandson Hunter had emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix. He went into surgery at 1am. There was massive infection and complications. When we saw him Sunday evening, he was a very sick boy. His body responded well once the poison was out and the antibiotics started to work. We can see the miracle of healing happening. It is so clear that God heals. We can remove that which blocks healing, but God heals.
Thank God for the surgeon who was there at 1am; for the caring persons who do more than take blood pressures... they smile, they love, they care; and for his family, especially a brother and two sisters who cannot wait to see him each day.
It is good to give thanks, a deep heart felt thanks, too deep for words... in the morning, and at night, and every hour in between.
I do pray that your Thanksgiving is blessed... as you can tell, ours is. |
