Dr. Michael B. Brown, Senior Minister

Formerly the Senior Minister of Centenary United Methodist Church, a 3,900-member congregation in Winston Salem, North Carolina, Dr. Michael Brown became the sixth Senior Minister of Marble Collegiate Church in February, 2009. His dyanamic leadership inspires one of the largest congregations in New York City, and has a national and international reach via Marble's Media Ministry. A North Carolina native, Dr. Brown has served several United Methodist congregations across that state as well as taught Ethics (University of North Carolina-Ashville), New Testament (High Point University), and Congregational Change (Wake Forest University). A noted speaker, Dr. Brown has also written five books and is contributing author to eleven others. His most recent book is Bottom Line Beliefs. Dr. Brown and his wife Page, have four children, Zachary, Adam, Alison and Catherine.

Dr. R. Mark King, Senior Associate Minister - Director of Ministries

As Senior Associate Minister – Director of Ministries, Dr. King supervises Marble’s ministries and staff. Dr. King envisions his ministry as one of effectively and efficiently guiding all the resources of the church to make ministry happen. He loves the systems approach to ministry organization and “coaching” the staff to be the best they can be and do. Most recently he was Executive Minister at Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem, N.C. Prior to that, he served University City United Methodist Church and St. Stephen United Methodist Church, both in Charlotte. He has also served two Baptist congregations also in North Carolina. A native of Charlotte, N.C., Dr. King earned his Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; a Doctor of Ministry from Candler School of Theology, Emory University; a Master in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University; and a Master of Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He and his wife, Pat, have three children, Joel, Ashley and Meredith.

Rev. Shari K. Brink, Minister for Strategic Advancement

As Minister for Strategic Advancement, Rev. Brink guides the Marble Community in discerning the future God has for it by garnering the financial resources needed for its dynamic ministry and leading strategic initiatives. She finds great joy in being part of a congregation where everyone knows they belong and has the opportunity to use their gifts for greater good. Rev. Brink has served as a Marble minister since 2010 and continues as pastoral advisor to the GIFTS Fellowship for LGBT people. Prior to coming to Marble, she was Director of Development at Auburn Seminary, served on the national staff of the Reformed Church in America as Director of Strategic Planning and as a minister in both Los Angeles, California and Colts Neck, New Jersey. She is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary. |

Rev. Travis B. Winckler, Minister for Congregational Care & Engagement

As Minister for Congregational Care and Engagement at Marble Collegiate Church, Rev. Winckler serves as pastoral advisor to the Men’s Ministry, Connection, Pastoral Care, and Small Group Ministries. A graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary, Rev. Winckler aspires to foster Christian community that is theologically substantive, spiritually nourishing, relationally supportive, socially transformational, and invested in the well being of New York City. He is ordained in the United Church of Christ and has been selected to participate in a targeted leadership development program for gifted young pastoral leaders called the Target 2030 Initiative. Rev. Winckler is married to Emily Dumler who is pursuing her doctorate in Religious Studies.

Rev. Kirsty DePree, Minister for Discipleship

Rev. DePree is passionate about walking with others on their journey. In addition to serving as Minister of Discipleship, she is also the Pastoral advisor to Stephen Ministry, Women’s Ministry and the Committed Couples Ministry. Before arriving at Marble Collegiate Church, she served as the Coordinator of Discipleship for the Reformed Church in America (RCA) and also served as a minister in three different RCA congregations in Michigan. Rev. DePree attended Western Theological Seminary and Hope College. She is married to Tim and has two children, Josh and Jeremy.

Dr. Arthur Caliandro
(1933-2012)
