We wrestle with the God who seemingly both forgives and condemns, who is both creator and destroyer, who combines the male and the female. Examining biblical passages that speak of this God of opposites is rich material for our spiritual journey.

The One-Sided Conversation

We forget that the Apostle Paul's letters are just one side of an ongoing conversation with early church communities. This fall, we will work together to see what lies behind the letters to Corinth, Ephesus, Colossae, and Rome. Sister Carol Perry takes an intriguing look at first-century society and culture and the spirited men and women who spread a new religion throughout the known world.
