Concert à la Carte: Praying Twice

“Whoever sings prays twice.” This quote attributed to St. Augustine serves as the inspiration for this musical presentation centered on sung prayer hosted by Kenneth Dake with the Sanctuary Choir and soloists including Camellia Johnson (soprano). We know that music can transport us in ways speech alone cannot. And speech can convey wisdom and spirituality that music alone cannot. But when music and words are joined in sung prayer the result is often a profound language of the soul, and a transcendent encounter with the divine. No admission charge; a free-will offering will be accepted.
