It has happened to us all: someone we know is facing the demanding role of caregiver and needs help. Sheila Warnock, founder and president of ShareTheCaregiving, Inc. (a recipient of Marble’s Easter Offering), talks about how ordinary people can organize and maintain a powerful group to support the family caregiver as well as the patient. The ShareTheCare model is effective whether the patient is in need of rehabilitation, suffering from terminal illness, facing difficulties associated with aging, or even recovering from a joyful event, like with the birth of quadruplets.
