Today we also say special Prayers for Peace on the anniversary of the Iraq War.

The labyrinth is available in Burrell Hall for contemplative walking before and after the service, 5 to 9pm, each Wednesday in Lent.

This moving service progresses to the gradual dimming of lights, symbolic of Jesus' dark hours on the cross. Dramatic readings directed by Marjorie Martin with Victor Slezak in the role of Jesus; music by the Marble Sanctuary Choir, directed by Kenneth Dake. Holy Communion celebrated. (Please be punctual, as we are unable to seat latecomers once the Tenebrae portion begins.)

Children and families are encouraged to attend early worship, special activities for children between services and choirs meet at their regular times. We suggest that members attend the 9:00am worship and arrive as early as possible for services to assist ushers in accommodating the many worshippers expected.

This mid-week service blends traditional and contemporary worship styles, taking the best of both, creating a mixture that is informal and reverent, often humorous and always Spirit-filled.
