Music

Ken Dake DirectingLed by Director of Music and Organist Kenneth Dake, Marble offers a rich tapestry of music ranging from sacred classics and contemporary spirituals to Shaker and Southern folk hymns. Whether toddler or adult, there's music for everyone at Marble Church.

Festival of Voices
The Festival of Voices is looking for motivated volunteer singers who believe passionately in the power of music to shape worship and transform lives. Under the leadership of Kenneth Dake, the Festival of Voices presents a broad range of choral repertoire in worship each month and in concerts throughout the year. Monday evenings’ high-energy rehearsals leave people feeling inspired and challenged. Two half-day Saturday retreats provide fun, fellowship, and deeper exploration of  inspiring texts and soul-stirring harmony. The nurturing and supportive community of the choir offers a vital spiritual resource and forges lasting relationships with others on the journey.

Rehearsals are held Monday evenings, and the choir is featured in an annual Advent Concert on Sunday, December 9, in the Good Friday liturgy on March 21, and as part of a grand Spring Choir Festival on Wednesday, April 23. Potential volunteers should be able to read music and commit to regular attendance. Contact Ken Dake for information on how you can become a member of this ministry.

Summer Choir

The music ministry never takes a Sunday off!

Volunteers are needed to join Marble's summer choir under the direction of Kenneth Dake. Get an inside view of how music is selected each week to coordinate with the theme of the sermon, polish your singing skills, and experience the thrill of leading the congregation in God's praise.

Rehearse at 9:15am each Sunday before worship, June 7 through September 6 (Labor Day weekend).

It is not neccessary to commit to every week and out of town visitors are welcome! Ideal candidates have good vocal blend and music-reading abililty.

To volunteer or for more information, contact Miriam Chaudoir (ext. 711) at the church
.
