GIFTS


GIFTS is a gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgendered community at Marble Collegiate Church that seeks to reconcile spirituality and sexuality through God’s love. By celebrating the common threads between our lives and faith journeys, we embrace our spiritual inheritance. We welcome all who wish to grow and be energized through Christian fellowship and service.

What We Do

We seek to build a community that encourages fun, friendship, healing and service.

Programs:  In our monthly dinner programs, we present a wide variety of well-known authors, inspirational speakers, entertainment and social events.

Small Groups:  GIFTS offers groups in smaller settings in which we explore similar goals and interests.

Retreats:  Once a year, we spend a relaxing weekend away from the city to focus on spiritual growth and making new friends.

Every Sunday following the worship service, members of GIFTS meet informally in Bay Hall for refreshments. Committee members are there to welcome you and share information about upcoming activities.

GIFTS COFFEE HOUR AND MOVIE SCREENING
Sunay, February 12 | Following Worship

The Marble GIFTS group is pleased to invite you to a coffee hour and Opening Weekend screening of the film festival hit PRIVATE ROMEO (Grand Jury Prize, Outfest 2011), an all-male film adaptation of 'Romeo and Juliet,' starring 'War Horse's' Seth Numrich and Matt Doyle, on Sunday February 12th, 2012 at Cinema Village. Following the film, there will be a talk-back with director Alan Brown and cast members. Coffee Hour will be at Marble following worship, from there we will travel together to Cinema Village for a 2pm showing.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT "THE CHURCH"
Saturdays | 6:45-9pm

Volunteer with GIFTS at "The Church", a LGBT drop-in center at St. Luke's in the Fields. For more information contact Sammy Shecter (ext. 477). We are also collecting MetroCards to be donated to the youth at "The Church". Drop off MetroCards that have at least one ride at the Action Table on Sundays or at the reception desk.
