Marble Men's Ministry

The men of Marble Church join together to grow spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually -- to be leaders at Marble Collegiate Church and in our chosen vocations. We seek to develop positive relationships with each other, our families, our peers and, most importantly, with God.

Program Dinners
Men gather over dinner each month to hear dynamic speakers talk about relevant topics in men's lives.  These programs present life's challenges in a new light and help to revitalize our shared faith.  We typically meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month:

Sunday Brunches
Immediately following worship, men gather for brunch at reserved tables. At 1:00 pm, we convene in a separate room to discuss relevant topics and consult the Scriptures and other writings for direction and encouragement. This year we will focus on the writings and sermons of Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, former Senior Minister of Marble Church and the author of The Power of Positive Thinking.

MONTHLY BRUNCH
& DISCUSSION
Sunday, February 5 | 12:15pm

Gather for brunch at our reserved table in the Meeting Place immediately after worship. At 1:00pm, we convene in a separate room to watch and discuss a sermon by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale. Brunch, $12; no reservation necessary. Join us for the conversation even if you don’t want brunch.
MAKING POSITIVE DECISIONS
Tuesday, February 21
Dinner, 6pm
Program, 7pm

Every day we make decisions; big decisions, small decisions, and each shapes the quality of our lives. We decide to move, to change jobs, to marry, to divorce... we decide how to respond, what attitude to choose, to get angry. Some decisions we regret, others we are pleased with. Dr. Bill Lutz helps us look at the lessons of the brothers in Luke 15:11-32 – the story of the Prodigal Son. Two brothers who were very different and both failed. We will then discuss the principals of positive decision making – trying to be mindful of God’s Will at this point in our lives, and making decisions that move life forward and create an inner sense of peace.

All men of the church are invited to share in this discussion.

ANNUAL MEN'S RETREAT
Friday-Sunday, March 23-25

We return to St. Joseph’s Villa, Saugerties, NY, and by popular request, Rev. Doug Wysockey-Johnson will again be our retreat leader.
