Our Constant Companion by Dr. Arthur Caliandro

There is a request I frequently receive that goes like this, "Arthur, I have an important meeting tomorrow morning at 10:00. It’s a big one, and I’m worried about it. Will you pray for me?"

Generally, I respond in two ways: I promise to pray for the person at that hour, and then I recommend a way the person can help himself or herself. I suggest that they see Jesus going into the room ahead of them so that when they enter the space, the light, wisdom and calming presence of Jesus is already at work.

Time and again, people have reported they followed the suggestion and that it made an enormous difference in the way they dealt with themselves in a worrisome situation. And invariably they add that the meeting went better than expected.

I believe we are strengthened by knowing that the Christ-spirit is present everywhere and at all times. All we need do is remember it, and call on Him.

See Jesus as there for you. He is. He always will be.
