Nothing will be impossible with God. - Luke 1:37

The entire Advent mystery is encompassed in these words. That God should come to earth and live among us is not in the realm of daily events. Yet our God chose to do just that. His plan waits upon the consent of this young woman who is not used to having her daily routine interrupted by angelic visitors. Gabriel waits. God waits. The unimaginable has just been proposed.

We might want to say again and again, in total faith, that nothing will be impossible with God. It is the perfect Advent prayer.
