“Take nothing for your journey.” – Luke 9:3
This advice which Jesus gave his first disciples applies to our Advent journey too. What can we bring that is packable? He will need nothing tangible from us. He will ask that we come with willing hearts, ready for the rigors of the trek and docile to the graces waiting for those who travel.
In order to kneel humbly before him at the end of this trip what changes do I need to make in how I approach each day. Am I willing, reluctant to face the new, patient with others...? What comes to the fore?
