Lent: Tuesday, March 14

And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life?
- Matthew 6:27

No, but we do it anyway! It is those 2:00am ruminations that are the most futile. It is then that we should practice giving our concerns to God in prayer and leaving them there. We somehow feel that God needs us to keep picking at the issue lest he forget.

If we are “worrywarts” we need to ask God to give us the grace of trust, of a faith that believes God is at work even if we don’t feel or hear him.
