According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building on it.
- I Corinthians 3:10
Paul, a product of the cities, does not use images from nature to explain discipleship, but he turns to building concepts. Something has to keep growing within us or there is stagnation. There is little value or beauty in a half finished project. We will never be complete disciples, resting on our laurels. There is always more to do.
In our prayer this day let us gather the strength to move ahead with our personal work of becoming disciples.
