Lent: Saturday, March 25

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?
- I Corinthians 3:16

This is what we are erecting, not a lowly hut but a dwelling place for God himself. The goal Paul sets before us carries within two values to consider: ours, as a place where God will find a home, and that of those among whom we live and work. These latter, whether they are conscious of it or not, are also God’s dwelling place and so are to be respected.

Let us consider this powerful basis for mutual respect and resolve to act on it today.

Thank you Sister Carol for your thoughtful and faithful words today, and your Spiritual Guide for the 2017 Lenten Season. I read it first every morning as part of my spiritual practice during the Lenten Season, as I have done for many years. I also share your thoughts and words with others. They too appreciate your beautiful and inspiring daily meditations. God bless you. With Gratitude, Ellen
