Bring A Can Sunday

Marble Church
Sunday, October 4, 2015
10:00 am – 4:00 pm

We live in the world's wealthiest nation. Yet 14.5 percent of U.S. households - nearly 49 million Americans, including 15.9 million children - struggle to put food on the table. This includes the working poor, people who are working but wages are so low that it becomes difficult for them to feed their families.

In the United States, hunger is not caused by a scarcity of food, but rather the continued prevalence of poverty. Both issues must be addressed in our continued efforts to help those Jesus called "the least of these" (Matthew 25:45).

During the month of October Marble Action Volunteers will be promoting “Marble Fights Hunger”. We will be encouraging people to bring non-perishable food items to church on Sundays October 4,11,18 and 25. You can drop off your food donations in the food baskets set up in the reception area, the Marble Loft or leave them at Action Volunteer Table on Sundays.
