Join the Women’s Ministry Leadership Team and spiritual directors Rev. Barbara Cawthorne Crafton, Rev. Julie Johnson Staples, J.D.,and Ms. Nina Frost for a weekend of prayer and worship, a keynote talk, inspirational workshops, yoga classes, swimming and free time to enjoy each other’s company. A chartered bus takes you from Marble Church to the tranquil America’s Keswick Retreat Center in Whiting, NJ. We’re happy to again offer a lower retreat cost this year.

Costs:

  • Double Occupancy with Private Bath: $250 per person – $285 after February 23
  • Double Occupancy with Shared Bath: $220 per person – $255 after February 23
  • Single Occupancy with Shared Bath (limited number of rooms): $275 per person – $310 after February 16 **SOLD OUT**

Fee includes lodging and transportation, Saturday breakfast through Sunday breakfast (4 meals), facility use charges, supplies and gratuities.

Single and Double Rooms are available (discount for registering before February 23). Enjoy delicious buffets, family-style meals and attentive service. An indoor multipurpose Activity Center offers a competition-size heated swimming pool, hot tub and sauna, weight and fitness room, and a large gymnasium. Or take a stroll around the lake, follow nature trails and find a bench to relax and meditate.

Facilitators:
Rev. Barbara Cawthorne Craftonis an Episcopal priest, prolific author and biblical scholar. She heads The Geranium Farm, an institute for the promotion of spiritual growth. She serves as Marble’s Spiritual Teacher as well as interim rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Metuchen, NJ. She has pastored a number of churches in NYC, including Trinity Church, St. John’s-in-the-Village and St. Clement’s and was a maritime chaplain on the New York waterfront, and served as a chaplain at Ground Zero after 9/11.

Rev. Julie Johnson Staples, J.D.,is a Collegiate Senior Minister serving as Executive Director of Intersections International, which works to unite disparate groups to forge a common ground in social justice and global peacemaking. Throughout her career as a journalist, Wall Street executive and minister, social justice has been her passion. She recently served as interim senior minister of the Flatbush-Tompkins Congregational Church in Brooklyn, NY, and was interim minister of education at The Riverside Church. She holds a Th.M. degree from Harvard University and received her M.Div. degree with honors and distinction in Biblical Studies/Hebrew Bible from the Union Theological Seminary.

Nina H. Frost is a vocational counselor and spiritual director in private practice in NYC and Virginia. A frequent speaker at churches, she also designs retreats and workshops that help people integrate Christian spirituality with the challenges posed by career and personal transitions. She is the co-author of the book, Soul Mapping: An Imaginative Way to Self-Discovery, holds an M.A. in Spiritual Direction from The General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church, and was on staff at Marble from 2003-2012.
