Series: Marble Racial Justice Series
Justice and the Church: Rediscovering the Social Gospel for Ministry in the 21st Century

In this event, we will honor the legacies of Dr. King, Jr. and other pioneers of the Black Freedom Movement. We will discuss the paradigms of ministry that they exemplified; ministry rich in social action.

Our special guests will include Pastor Willie Francois, III (President, The Black Church Center for Justice and Equality), Rev. Raschaad Hoggard (Associate Minister, Abyssinian Baptist Church), and Dr. Donald Garner (Young Adult Co-Pastor, Greater Allen AME Church).

The clergy of Marble Church hosted the first dialogue on racial injustice in June 2020; not long after video footage of George Floyd’s murder went viral. Since then, we have continued these efforts with once-monthly events to draw awareness to the racial injustices that impact our congregation and community.
