Rev. Brittany Juliette Hanlin
If Jesus Had Been There
John 11:28-37

As LGBTQ+ Pride Month begins, GIFTS hosts a service remembering those who are no longer with us because of HIV/AIDS. There will be a blessing of sections of the AIDS Quilt from the National AIDS Memorial in San Francisco displayed in the Sanctuary, and also a Memorial Slideshow* honoring loved ones lost to AIDS.

“We welcome everybody to Marble, just as God made them,” says Rev. Brittany Juliette Hanlin, Associate Minister and Ministerial Leader of GIFTS. “As we bless the AIDS quilt, we’ll praise Marble’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community with music and prayer.”

*You are invited to share a digital photo and name of a person you wish to honor in the Memorial Slideshow to be shown during the service. Please email Don Piper your digital photo no later than Wednesday, May 25. If you don’t have photos, you may submit up to two names.

This special service kicks off a month-long celebration of the 30th anniversary of Marble’s GIFTS: LGBTQ+ Fellowship, which began in 1992.
