Harvest Outing in Central Park - In Person
Come meet new friends or reacquaint with old ones as we see some of Central Park’s beauty, hosted by Marble’s Women’s Ministry. We will enjoy a 2-hour leisure walk appreciating the park’s colors and splendidness, while building relationships with one another.
The walk will include the Shakespeare Garden, the Belvedere Castle, and the Turtle Pond; a couple of markers for Seneca Village will be passed along the way. We will conclude our outing with lunch near the Great Lawn. (Closest restrooms are at the Delacorte Theatre.)
Meeting Location
Walk into Central Park at 81st Street and Central Park West, on the NE corner of the intersection. You’ll see several joined benches that form a curve on your right and a children’s park on your left. Gather at the benches.
Transportation HUB
Bus stops and subway exits are located on the northwest and southwest corners of 81st Street.
By Bus: M79 Crosstown (east and westbound) and M10 (north and southbound)
By Subway: C and B trains (Museum of Natural History / 81st stop)
What to Bring
Water, a light lunch/snack, and dress appropriately for the weather. (Although there are a few food carts within the park, we may not pass them during our walk.) Please be advised that the Belvedere Castle may not be easily accessible for those with mobility issues.
Please register by Friday, October 21.
