Dr. Elise Brown

Did you know the book of Psalms was written over several centuries and was the hymnbook of ancient Israel? The book is filled with songs and poems of celebration, lament, confidence, confusion, clarity and hope. It is a book that spans the varying stages of Israel’s faith and moods as they experienced the exile to Babylon, the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem (several times!) and their commitment to hold fast to the faith in challenging times.

Come be. part of a study of the Psalms using the resource written by Rev. Brown - Songs of the Faithful: Studies in the Psalms. Please purchase the book in advance of the study. We will use the Learner Guide. The group will be led by Rev. Elise Brown.

Meets In-Person Mondays, January 9, 23 & 30 and February 6, 13 & 27 from 6:00-7:00pm in Peale Parlor. We will not meet on February 20.
