People of the Covenant – People Like Us
If you think your family has its issues (and don’t we all?) know that you are in solid biblical company!
Join the Rev. Dr. Julie Faith Parker for two sessions that explore the family stories of Genesis 12-50. Dr. Parker will combine PowerPoint, video, drama, and close textual study to deepen our understanding of our biblical ancestors. The first class, “Hagar, the Slave Girl Who Names God,” will lead us into Israel’s historical memory with those who start the biblical legacy. Our second session, “Tricksters and Dreamers” will continue our investigation of this complicated family by focusing on Jacob, Rebekah, and Joseph. We hope you will be part of this interactive, creative, engaging study that promises to expand your heart and mind.
