Marbles Holiday Outreach Projects and Numbers

Marble wishes to thank all those who participated in Thanksgiving and Christmas outreach projects.

  • 40 youths from St. Thomas Reformed Church in St. Thomas whose families were devastated by the recent hurricanes received $50 gift cards for the Holiday Season from Marble donations.
  • 189 children received Christmas toys at SCAN, PS 30 tutored students and Icahn House (Children’s Rescue Fund).
  • 100 homeless men and women received movie tickets at Mainchance Drop-In Center.
  • 300+ homeless men and women received hats, gloves and scarves at Mainchance Drop-in Center, Project Hospitality and St. Luke in the Fields Homeless LGBTQ teens.
  • 36 families from Icahn House participated in Icahn House Children’s Christmas Party held in the Marble Loft.
  • 6 volunteers from the Women’s Ministry treated mothers at the Icahn House Children’s Party with a cosmetic make-over.
  • 28 volunteers assisted in the Icahn House Children’s Christmas Party.
  • 21 volunteers served Christmas Morning Brunch to clients at Mainchance Drop-in Center.
  • Donations were made to Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter and Housing + Solution for the purchase of turkeys for their clients on Thanksgiving.
  • 100 bags of food was assembled and delivered to Housing + Solutions for their formerly homeless clients during Thanksgiving.
  • 68 bags of food was assembled and delivered to Housing + Solutions and the families of Marble’s tutored students at PS 30 for Christmas.
  • 44 knit hats and scarves from Marble’s Knitting Ministries were delivered to senior clients at Search and Care.
  • 48 containers of cookies were delivered and assembled as care packages during Thanksgiving for Search and Care’s senior clients.
  • 535 donated food items were delivered to Icahn House Food Pantry during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

We thank all those who participated in Marble’s Outreach Projects and all volunteer efforts and activities during the holiday season. Marble is truly blessed.
