Dr. Michael Bos
Senior Minister
Mike Thurlow, Executive Assistant
Dr. Michael Bos is a pastor, author, and interfaith proponent. He is the senior minister of Marble Collegiate Church in New York City. With his coauthor, William Sachs, he has released two books that help people rethink what faith and church mean today. He has been a leader in inter-religious education and collaboration for thirty years. In New York City, he is a founding member of NYC’s Interfaith Affordable Housing Collaborative, which brings together the financial resources and expertise of the faith community to develop affordable housing. He is also a founding member of the NYC Scriptural Reasoning Network, which engages Muslims, Christians, and Jews through the heart of their traditions. While working in Oman, he established programs with institutions such as Princeton Theological Seminary, the Center for Interfaith Reconciliation, the University of Cambridge, the U.S. Armed Forces, and the U.S. State Department. For his work in bringing together Christians, Muslims, and Hindus in Oman to aid low-income workers, he has been featured in the Berkshire Encyclopedia of Religion and Social Justice and received Oman’s U.S. Ambassador’s Award for Community Service. For his interfaith work in New York City, he was given the Interfaith Champion Award by the Muslim-Jewish Solidarity Committee.
Dr. J. Elise Brown
Executive Minister

Dr. J. Elise Brown believes every congregation has a mission and every community needs a powerful and progressive faith witness in it. Her passions and skills include helping congregations and organizations create ministry plans that work and then working the plans to produce abundance and fruitfulness. Having worked in diverse communities throughout her 20 years in ministry, she understands the factors needed to move congregations toward greater, more authentic, diversity and mission impact. Dr. Brown was born and raised in Iowa and did her undergraduate work at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She continued her education at Union Theological Seminary in New York City, earning a Master of Divinity degree, and at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, earning a Master of Theology in Ethics. She received her Ph.D. in Sociology from The Graduate Center-City University of New York in 2014, and is on the faculty of Lehman College in the Bronx, NY. She is an ordained clergyperson of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and rostered in the Metropolitan New York Synod.
Rev. Susanah Wade
Associate Minister
Rev. Susanah Wade is an ordained pastor in the Reformed Church in America who believes that God’s revelation as Jesus Christ was the ultimate call to us to be kind to each other and to let this drive our daily activities and interactions. She is also the mother of Kelsanah Wade and an immigrant who was born on the island of Montserrat, a British colony in the West Indies. Her academic education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baruch College focusing on human resource management and corporate communication, a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School, and a Master of Divinity degree from Drew Theological Seminary with a focus on spiritual formation. Susanah’s background includes Clinical Pastoral Education training at NYU Langone Medical Center and employment in the areas of immigration law and Missions and Outreach which is her current focus. She tries to live each day with an awareness of the movement of the Holy Spirit, a deep sense of gratitude, and an awareness of God’s grace.
Dr. Julie Faith Parker
Biblical Scholar in Residence
In addition to her role as Biblical Scholar in Residence at Marble, Dr. Julie Faith Parker is a Visiting Scholar at Union Theological Seminary (NYC). She was awarded the Ph.D. with distinction in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible from Yale University. Dr. Parker also holds degrees from Yale Divinity School, Union Theological Seminary, and Hamilton College. She taught as a professor of biblical studies at General Theological Seminary and Trinity Lutheran Seminary, and has also taught at Yale Divinity School, Fordham University, Colby College, and New York Theological Seminary, where her students were incarcerated in Sing Sing Prison. Dr. Parker is ordained in the United Methodist Church and has worked full-time in both congregational and campus ministry.
Dr. Parker’s research focuses on feminist and childist biblical interpretation, as well as ancient Near Eastern languages and cultures. She has published many academic articles and written or edited eight books, including Valuable and Vulnerable: Children in the Hebrew Bible, My So-Called Biblical Life, and most recently, Eve Isn’t Evil: Feminist Readings of the Bible to Upend Our Assumptions.
She is married to the Rev. Dr. Bill Crawford, and they are the proud parents of two grown children, Graham and Mari.
Michael T. C. Hey
Director of Music
Michael T. C. Hey has established himself as a reputable concert organist in the U.S. and abroad. In 2016, he was recognized as one of the top “20 Under 30” organists by The Diapason magazine. Hey performs solo and collaboratively with top American orchestras, as well as with his wife violinist Christiana Liberis in the Hey-Liberis duo.
Michael served as Associate Director of Music and Organist of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City from 2015 to 2023, where one of his first major tasks was to perform for the first U.S. visit of Pope Francis. Prior to St. Patrick’s, Michael served for five years as Assistant Organist at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church.
In 2017, Michael received first prize in the First Shanghai Conservatory of Music International Organ Competition and released his premiere solo CD recording Michael T. C. Hey plays the Great Organ of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York by the JAV recording label.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Michael graduated in 2014 from the accelerated five-year degree program at The Juilliard School where he received both his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in organ performance under Paul Jacobs.
Michael Hey is represented in North America exclusively by Phillip Truckenbrod Concert Artists, LLC.
