Bible Study

Do you find the Bible interesting but intimidating? Do you try to read the Bible, but think it’s too complicated and give up? You’re not alone, and Marble wants to help. Come learn about the Bible with the Rev. Dr. Julie Faith Parker, Marble’s Biblical Scholar in Residence, in classes that are both academic and fun.

Dr. Parker holds a Ph.D. in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible from Yale University, awarded with distinction. She has taught as a professor at Fordham University, General Theological Seminary, New York Theological Seminary, Trinity Lutheran Seminary, and Colby College, among other institutions. A respected scholar, she has published dozens of academic articles is currently writing her ninth book. Dr. Parker’s passion is equipping people to understand the Bible in ways that are accessible, scholarly, engaging, and theological.   

Below please find classes from the 10:00 Hour at Marble listed by biblical passages, under the series topic. You might start with Genesis and continue forward for a comprehensive understanding, or choose the classes that interest you most.
