Lenten Faith

As we begin the Season of Lent, we begin a walk of a sacred journey. It is a walk with God as we wrestle with our need to reflect on our daily life as we try to understand the need for a repentant heart as we release those fears and burdens in our faith walk toward    Good Friday.

This walk is a Walk with the Holy Spirit as we are being restored to witness the depth of the meaning of God’s Love to Restoration. So, we walk in our reflection, Repentance, and Restoration in the faith. As we walk, we are filled with the anticipated wonders of hope even amid disturbance in our Christian Faith.

Sometimes, it is a Walk filled with a season of darkness through brokenness, decisions, uncertainties, anxieties, and other troubling moments in our being. A recollection of yesteryears revives from the darkness in our faith walk, to rediscover the recollection of Jesus as He walked on the road, “Via Dolorosa,” the road of suffering. A road we will also walk.

A faithful walk was at Rose Castle, as the ground and the marble floors were slippery due to the mist. Some of us walked with ease, a few with canes or holding the hands of our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus to avoid falling. Our walk became lighter as we encouraged others to walk beside us or as we offered our assistance to help someone during their struggle to strive for a deeper understanding of reconciliation in our Spiritual Walk with God, especially with our families and church communities.

Yes, we are walking in the Lenten season, reliving the stories we learned in our childhood and rehearsing those songs on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. This wondrous walk with God retells our hopeful witness as we are renewed in our daily bread and deliverance from the weight of life. Let Lent remind us that God is able as we walk the “Via Dolorosa” road with mystical gifts within our spirit. Our walk today is to continue our “Missional Engagement” and experience a different faith, which gives hopeful expectations of peace and reconciliation even in our political differences.

Faith within reminiscences hope strengthens our walk to resolve and evokes our vision and mission to serve with gladness. We walk to encourage one another with words of Hope, as our faith is tearing in lamentation within our spirits. In our walk, we retell the Words of hope in our prayers and praises within our witness to become servants of the High Calling that leads to testimonies of change and restoration of hope as Jesus’s resurrection illuminates joy within our souls for another Lenten hopeful faith challenge!

Prayer: Lord, help us see our faith light and be hopeful as we encourage others to see the Faithful Love of your Grace within our hopeful walk with you in Lent. Amen
