In Reverence (Again)
I am sitting in my home after attending the beautiful Ash Wednesday service. I love being up early in the morning when I have a chance to spend some alone time with God. Sometimes, I do better than others. Sometimes, I am distracted; sometimes, I want to organize my day; sometimes, I am anxious to see what’s going on in the world, but regardless, God always shows up. How do I deserve this?
Sometimes, when words or prayers elude me, I offer words of gratitude to God. Thanks to my health, family, friends, and home. I think that God understands, and that’s all I can do that day. I also try to pray for others who need special prayers. I know that God wants more, and sometimes I can do that and sometimes not I know that God works with me and works with all of us, just as we are. Lent is an excellent time for me to recommit to this spiritual practice.

Apologies to all this morning. The original post that was sent was in the editor version. I'm not sure why this happened, and I hope that this second email is easier to read.
