Ted terms his fall—the ordeal

                      his failing eyesight prevented him

                      from seeing second garage step

                      appropriate  adjectives—determination

                      and courage

                      dealt with lengthy wait for surgery

                      he performed necessary therapy

                      walking always has provided pleasure

                      I am steps ahead, he walks behind--

                      I turn to tell him of bicycles’ approach

                      and sidewalk cracks

                      my fantastic view—Ted walking again!
