Oh, hello Christmas,

Oh, hello Christmas,

You’re here again already?  It seems as though we were just celebrating you.  But before we get to you, we have a month of waiting and wondering.  We need you to be patient with us for a bit, ok?

This has been a year filled with so much good, and so much, well, not good.  In this season we wait, wonder, and watch.  As I was thinking about what we all wish for every year, and especially this year (World Peace) I was struck with this.  Why do we continue to ask God for World Peace?  Why is it we expect God to just snap God’s fingers and as my grand daughter says, “Make all better”?   I think God is telling us that peace begins with us.  If each one of us makes it our goal to be peaceful, and to share that peace one person at a time, just maybe we truly can make a difference.

Take some time this advent season to find some peace.  Go for a walk, read a book, take a nap.  When you find a bit of peace in your life, go out and share it with as many people as you can.  God is guiding us to peace…the rest is up to us.

When this Advent season concludes I pray each one of feels a bit more peaceful as we sit around the Christmas tree to celebrate the birth of our savior.

Your Friend,

Tena
