Advent Begins with Hope

Advent begins with hope.

I find that so appropriate.

How often do we utter that word without really thinking about it?

“I hope it doesn’t rain today”.  “I hope traffic is light.”

I asked Google about hope, and here is what it had to say:

Hope is the feeling that what you desire will happen, or that the future can be better.

It can also mean, Hold on, Pain ends.

Wow, that is a big one.  Yes, whatever challenges we face, hold on, things will get better.  That is hope!!!  During this Advent season, my prayer for us all is that, whatever we face, we continue to hold on and hope.
